Referrals can
be made using a Mental Health Treatment
Plan for patients who have alcohol use or
drug use disorders. Tobacco use disorder
is not regarded as a mental disorder for
the purpose of Mental Health Treatment
Plans.
A number of local providers listed on the Mental
Health Professionals resource have
indicated their area of specialty includes substance abuse.

Information

Several Psychiatrists on the database have
indicated they see patients for substance
use disorders.
General Practice South has
a list
of Psychiatrists in southern Tasmania
and some have indicated they specialise in
alcohol and drug management.
