General Practice South is committed to improving health outcomes for individuals and the community and believes this can be achieved by expanding our membership for GP and Associate Members who are committed to supporting the aims and objectives of the Division.

General Practice South exists for our members, you are our first priority.

By becoming a member of General Practice South you will help give us the voice to help shape the future of primary care services for our community. As an integral part of the health landscape in Southern Tasmania since 1992, we have listened to ideas, issues and suggestions from general practice and the wider health sector to ensure we have a voice in shaping the direction of primary care in Southern Tasmania.

Member Categories

GP membership is available to registered general medical practitioners working within the boundaries of GP South on a full-time or part-time basis. This includes GP Registrars.

Associate membership is available to any adult person who is supportive of the objectives of the Division. This includes practice staff, practice nurses, allied health, other health professionals and medical practitioners not eligible for GP membership.
